Review:
The movie “The Dark Knight Rises”, directed by Christopher Nolan has some known faces but also a few new characters. The director used actors that had either appeared in previous Batman films on in his blockbuster “Inception”., All of them were great in their previous roles. When there is trouble in Gotham City, Bruce Wayne is back in his batmobile and ready to fight crime. Batman has a orphaned cop (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), a seductive cat burglar (Anne Hathaway), and a dangerous masked villain (Tom Hardy). And all of the actors put in great performances and are very comfortable with Nolan’s roles. Throughout the movie Nolan did a good job casting. Hathaway especially did a great job bringing out the darker side of Catwoman.
There were times when the movie felt like it just kept lingering, but the action scenes and the intense dialogue can keep viewers on the edge of their seats. Despite the little shortcomings, “The Dark Knight Rises” is exciting, creative, and dark, and its worth your time. Watch it for the first time, or watch it again.
