Corona Virus Cancels Events all over Washington

Seleen Love, Reporter

Currently, Washington state has started to see the impact the coronavirus has on our daily lives. Thirteen people have died of COVID-19 in Washington state over the span of a week to a week and a half. Many schools and events are taking this very seriously.

For our own Auburn High school students who are participating in competitions, festivals, and state have received the news that there will be canceled. This very week the CWU wind fest that was supposed to take place on Thursday was canceled. This weekend there was the state Journalism Competition sponsored by the Washington Journalism Education Association, a robotics competition planned, and the JROTC recruitment event which are all canceled.

It is time to make sure to be safe and be protected from this virus. There is no way to know what will happen for the rest of state events, competitions, or gatherings.
